Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) is now available
Security has always been one of our top priorities at Markets4you. That’s why we’re introducing Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) — a new option that makes it even safer to access your account.
We’ve started with the TOTP (Time-based One-Time Password) method — one of the most trusted 2FA technologies used worldwide.
2FA adds an extra step to your login process. Along with your password, you can now enter a 6-digit security code generated in real time by an Authenticator app on your phone. This makes it much harder for anyone else to access your account, even if they have your password.
Once two-factor authentication enabled:
- You’ll be asked to enter a code from the app each time you log in
- You can choose to remember your browser for 30 days
You’ll find the 2FA settings under the new “Security” tab in your Trader room settings.
Activating 2FA takes just a few minutes and requires an app like Google Authenticator, Authy, or Microsoft Authenticator — or any other trusted authenticator.
Here’s how it works:
- Download an Authenticator app to your phone
- Enable 2FA in the Security tab
- Confirm your action with a one-time code sent to your email or phone
- Scan the QR code using your Authenticator app (or enter the secret code manually)
- Enter the 6-digit code from the app — done!
Please note that at the moment, two-factor authentication is available for Trader Room on the web only.
